In all the years of shaving I have never understood open combed and closed comb ? I prefer the closed comb as it feels less hassle and closer shave for me. I have just bought a Feather DX cut throat non folding as I used a folding Dovo shavette which I didn’t like because of the folding handle seemed to get in the way but that said I do hold writing pens awkwardly as I am often told I write like a left handed with my right hand. Using a single edge cutthroat is definitely not a rush shave if you don’t want to plaster toilet paper all over your face. Thanks for a great video, I also have plenty of kids injury’s from messing about with my father’s old DE razor - I couldn’t wait to start shaving lol but I still enjoy a leisurely shave its like a bit of relaxation and personal time invested. 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Great shave Ken. If you feel like it, could you try the King C Gillette razor with a feather blade? I find it to be a mild razor and the feather blade makes it so smooth. I’m curious what you think!

Try using Lectric Shave with your safety razor. It's an absolute life hack. Do a liberal splash and shave.

Just out of curiosity do you find any difference between the 6C and 6S in terms of efficiency? I have heard the 6c is possibly smoother with the chrome finish. I already own the 6s and a few different model T's from the Rockwell family of razors lol.

Don't forget to ask about using your lead crystal skull as a brush soaker and if you should or should not be soaking your brush in it. Love ya brother and God bless

My Dad has tried all the Ralph Lauren colognes. He always got me any extra when I was younger. Red is my favorate too and black is my close second. Never been a fan on the green. My Dad has to wear the blue because my Mom is allergic to the other scents.

Recently started watching your videos and have to say I really like your vibe. Nice to see you using the old EJ DE89. I remember 10 or so years ago that was the standard recommendation for all new comers to the wet shaving world. Now we're living in sort of a golden age of shaving with so many companies and products available. Seems now a days it's all about stainless steel and/or titanium razors. I still have my very first DE safety razor which just happens to be a EJ DE89. It's a great shave and other than a few nicks here and there it still looks great. Anyone who says those zamak razors don't last doesn't know what they're talking about. Even though it may not be the default recommendation for newcomers anymore, it's still a fine razor. Cheers.

I'm a android phone fan, I have a OnePlus Nord 2 Camara phone ken, my phone has the same capacity as a normal laptop computer 256gb of memory.

Do a throwback shave with Taylor of old bond street grapefruit!!!! And use skin bracer as the aftershave! Haven't seen you use those in a bit

Great shave. I’ve had the Polo Blue EDT before and I had a sample of Polo Red. I’m not sure if I still have the Blue, but I love the scent from it. The Rockwell 2 plate does great for me, as it’s kinder to my skin while still doing the work of cutting off the stubble. That’s a plate I’ll go with if I’m shaving every two days or if I’m going for a mild shave after a bad shave. I hope your surgery goes well and as always, have a good one.

If you have an iPhone and don’t want spammers, do the following: Settings - Phone - Silence Unknown Callers. Turn it ON. It will put anyone who is NOT in your contacts, directly to voice mail. Spammers won’t leave messages, at least not likely. If you’re expecting a call from someone that is not in your contacts you can temporarily toggle “Silence Unknown Callers” to the OFF position.

Beginners can't go wrong with the Rockwell 6C. Six safety razors in one for $60 or less. I liked mine so much that I upgraded to the 6S on Amazon Prime Day. Best wishes that everything goes issue-free with the skin surgery.
